Work from the past couple weeks, built some walls to enclose an area at the Nimpkish Hatchery. There is an exterior door and a custom built barn door.

Next is to install pvc panelling on the interior side of the enclosure. Not sure what is decided for the exterior at this point in time, however its protected for the time being. We love working out by the river 😎

Tansi, We're almost at the completion point of this addition. Theres still some interior work to be done later this week...

We're almost at the completion point of this addition. Theres still some interior work to be done later this week, but we are happy with the progress so far.

We started this project with a vision and a budget, we used the right guys and resources available, and hit the nail on the head. This was definitely a challenging job in terms of practice and ex*****on, we made alot of on site changes and thought of clever solutions to some interesting problems. Alot of carpenters know that renovations never go as planned, but we ended up steering the boat through this one as experience played a crucial role.

On to the next, there are some fun jobs lined up for the rest of fall and headed into winter. Aho!

This addition is coming along great. The client and I made an on site decision to go with a vaulted ceiling instead of 8 ft high standard walls. House addition progress, roof is on and protected!

Yesterday we started with exterior walls up, once we seen the weather report it was a mad dash to cut the rafters, install the ridge, sheath the roof, and wrap it with some roofing underlay. 🫠🫠🫠 feeling it today

200 linear ft of good neighbour fence completed for the Amlilas Daycare in Alert Bay. We also removed the old play structure and donated it to the Alert Bay Farm for the goats 🐐

We have been getting our fencing in this month.
One job was doing metal prefab panels in Port Hardy for a great guy!

Next job is completing about 200 L/ft of 4' high pressure treated fence in Alert Bay at the Amlilas Daycare. This should be completed early this week.

After that we are moving onto a home addition for another hard working client on Alti Rd in Alert Bay. The summer is flying by, cant wait to showcase our work!

More educated indigenous youth, follow your dreams, and follow a trade. We need you out there! Ive been doing carpentry since 2009, its hard work but fulfilling nonetheless.

We push our youth to get educated, and follow through with their apprenticeship.
3 students have gone through trade school using our sponsorship and credentials. We hope to make more ticketed carpenters available out there as the business grows. Slow and steady 😁

We added 2 more 4x12x20' beams to the deck, 2x6 decking, built a set of safe, wide-tread stairs, and installed some temporary safety rails before we left.

When we come back we will put together some beautiful handrails out of 4x4s, fix up some old stairs, and build another smaller deck closer to the water.

What an amazing time we had, it was good for the soul. Thank you for all your hard work and keeping the tunes fresh, vibes positive, and coffee brewing all day for us Leo Dort
