Some of the things you find around a jobsite 🏗️ have a little more meaning than others.

This one has been part of the Sideros story along the way. 🛠️

Steel, projects, and a lot of work in between. ⚙️💪

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

We took a walk around the shop to ask the Sideros crew one very important question…

**What Thanksgiving food are you most excited for?** 🍗🥧

Everyone’s got their favourites, and apparently some pretty strong opinions! 😂

From all of us at Sideros Ironworks, we hope you’re enjoying some good food, great company, and a well-deserved long weekend!

Bet you didn’t think ironworkers could do this. 👀

Check out the finished product on this custom stair build.

From the fabrication to the final install, this one was all about the details. With so much of the steel left exposed, there’s nowhere for imperfections to hide, every connection, transition and finish had to be clean.

The level of craftsmanship that went into this staircase speaks for itself. 🔩🔥

Built by ironworkers. Finished with precision.

🎉 Sideros is officially 9 years old! 🎉

On September 26, 2017, Ali Zaidi and Aaron Doris officially started Sideros Ironworks. Nine years later, it’s pretty incredible to look at what has grown from that beginning.

Over those nine years, Sideros has taken on bigger projects, built a talented team, created opportunities for a lot of great people and families, and put a whole lot of steel in the air along the way. There have been challenges, milestones, long days, big wins and plenty learned in between... all of it helping shape the company Sideros is today.

A company doesn’t get here without the people behind it, and that starts with Ali and Aaron. Their vision, hard work and commitment to building something solid have carried Sideros through its first nine years, alongside the crews, staff, clients and partners who have been part of the journey.

Happy 9th birthday, Sideros! 🍻🎂

We’re proud of what’s been built so far, excited about where things are headed, and especially excited knowing the next anniversary is a pretty big one; Double digits, here we come.

Stay Tuned!

From steel going in to the finished staircase. 🔩➡️✨

A look back at where this build started and where it ended up.

A lot of fabrication, coordination and craftsmanship between these two shots. 🏗️

Steel’s staged. Rigging’s on. Let’s send it. 🏗️

Slings tight. Load up. Tag line in hand.

“Little more.”
“Other way.”
“YOUR other left.” 😂

Then in she goes!

Another piece up. Another connection made. Another day of making ridiculously heavy things look weirdly easy. 🔩

Some builds require more than a standard install. 🏗️

For this staircase, our team cleared and set up a dedicated fabrication area at the top of the stair opening, allowing each section to be custom fabricated right on site.

Once complete, each section was carefully moved into position using a combination of dollies, a rolling gantry crane straddling the open stairwell, and plenty of hands-on manpower. 💪

With limited space and heavy fabricated sections to maneuver, this was no easy build. It took careful coordination, problem-solving and a strong crew working together to get every piece safely into place.

Custom fabricated. Carefully maneuvered. Built on site. 🔩⚙️

The details are where this staircase really starts to get interesting. 👀

Take a closer look at some of the unique connection points that make this floating stair design possible.

Creating a staircase with this little visible support takes a lot more than meets the eye. Every connection had to be carefully thought out, fabricated onsite and installed to create the strength the staircase needs while keeping the finished design clean and seemingly effortless.

A lot of steel, planning and precision behind one seriously impressive staircase. 🔩🏗️

Making the most of the last of the T-shirt days. ☀️💪

It takes a good crew, a few strong backs and plenty of hands-on work to get it where it needs to go. 🔩

Enjoying the last bit of warm weather before the layers come back out. 🏗️

🏗️ From the office to the field, this one’s for the whole team.

The work that goes into every project doesn’t happen in one place. 📐 It takes detailing, planning, coordination, fabrication, rigging, er****on and countless people doing their part to bring it all together. 🔩

To everyone behind the work at Sideros, and to the crews across the construction industry putting it all together every day, thank you for building. 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️💪

Closing out National Construction Appreciation Week by recognizing the people who make it happen. 🏗️👏
