Getting ready to start another year of PAVING! We look forward to serving the Niagara Region for all your asphalt needs.
This year was a harder winter than most and we have noticed a lot of frost heaving in the area. Due to the extra moisture in the ground and cold temperature, many parking lots driveways and roads may have experienced more damage than your typical winter. This is why it is important to keep paved surfaces higher than ground grades, which helps keep moisture away. It is also important to keep up with routine maintenance in order to prevent water from infiltrating into the sub-base. Areas with high ground water may have experienced frost heave around catch basins. Wait until the frost comes out of the ground (April) to see if the asphalt lowers back to original elevation, as this can sometimes happen.
Areas that are having an issue with high water tables, can sometimes install sub drainage to help dry up the sub-base. Please note a catch basin is needed.

• Solicit door to door.
• Arrive in an unmarked truck or van.
• Claim they have just completed a job nearby and happen to have leftover materials, so they can do the work for a discount.
• Pressure you for an immediate decision.
• Accept only cash, require large deposits, or require the entire cost up front. A deposit of 10-15 percent of the bid price is normally sufficient.
• Refuse to provide a written estimate, a contractor-registration number, or local references.
• Provide credentials or references that cannot be verified.
• Older adults are often prime targets for dishonest firms. Share this information with your older friends, relatives, or neighbours.
