This was a few years back, when I lived up North.... I was nervous as hell, being interviewed & filmed... lol...

But... this has been an amazing journey, getting back to what I truly enjoy doing with my life :)

Musical, percussion, wooden-spoonsets.

They sound awesome, when the Métis fiddle is playing alongside ;)

These are made out of hard Maple, and have a dowel-pin at the joint... to keep them together, for strength

This was 1, out a series of 4 that I made & carved back in 2005...

I am Métis by blood... Not at all coastal for roots, but was given full permissions to explore this artform...

***So I am not at all claiming Haida, Kwakwiutl, or other coastal blood...

I was just fortunate enough to have had many mentors along the way, who shared their craft with me

An awesome batch... !!

Of Japanese-style, pedestal cutting boards.

These are made out of grain-matched,spalted,
Vancouver Island Maple, with Purple Heart & Black Walnut accents.

Finished & sealed with food safe butcher board oil, and a coat of Beeswax...

Wow, wow, WOW !!! Do these have some serious character within the grain....

Backwards photos of this project coming to a close.... :)

Approx 20.5 hrs... creating a service desk for a local gravel quarry.... with flip up 'pass through' to keep customers out of the office space for when the owner is tending to machinery....

Made with pre-finished Baltic Birch plywood, and dressed with yellow cedar & Spruce accents

A recent piece of furniture, that I was requested to create.... :)

Made mostly of Spruce, with Black Walnut inlays..... and a mortise & tenon cross brace.

Measuring 28"×36 @ 30" tall....

A drop-leaf kitchen table that can stash against a wall...

Or when guests arrive, there's now room to have friends & family over for a meal ;)

A backward look, at a recent project....

A bathroom shelving unit, made of Baltic Birch plywood, trimmed with Black Walnut.....

This fella looks sooo much nicer than 'pre-fab' Ikea pressboard units...

And will last a heck of a lot longer, might I add...

We love funky, custom built-to-last projects....
