Looking for a couple of brushers to help wrap a bit of summer work out here on Vancouver Island. Small amount of chainsaw, larger amount of basal application.

For the right person(s), this could lead to a healthy amount of fall saw work as soon as the fire rating drops.

Hello Folks, anyone looking to stay and work on Vancouver Island this summer, specifically in the Alberni Valley and surrounding areas? The Tseshaht First Nation is the sponsoring this course and Sitka Silviculture will be looking to hire 4-8 graduates from the program to continue on working with us this summer. Primarily participating in fire fighting and fuel mitigation projects new hires to Sitka will also be trained in vegetation management to assist brushing crews.

Sitka Silviculture is looking for folks with a diploma, certificate or accreditation in Forestry or Silviculture or two years experience in engineering. Please head over to our website and fill out an employment application. Pay will be based on experience. The work area includes Port Renfrew and Port Alberni, with enough work to keep a few folks busy into November.
