It’s been quiet in the shop for the last couple months, but here’s the newest addition to the arsenal… a rotary axis. What’s that you ask? It allows the laser or router to work around a round object. Next time you need custom water bottles… we can do that!

It’s always a little nerve wracking when the boss gives you his vision, you have a little back and forth about it, and then he says “you go with it”.
What makes it worth it all is when you show off the finished product and the reaction is “that’s exactly what I envisioned”.

This podium is made from one single poplar log for the sides, with a beautiful poplar top, birch plywood front and walnut trim accents.

Fully CNC’d bear head logo with epoxy inlays and blue stain around the outside.

So beyond grateful for the trust put in me by Dan Mielke to create this one of a kind for Porcupine Plain Comprehensive School
