Founded in 1983, owner Andrew Marshall started the business when he first noticed that the need for lobster traps ballast in the large fishing community along the Northumberland Straight. The region, with it's large community of fishermen, lacked a local source for these critical pieces of gear. With a reputation for quality product and fair prices, his client base quickly expanded to serve fishermen in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI & Newfoundland.
Besides supplying the Atlantic fishing community with premium Lobster Trap Ballasts, and other related Lobster Trap manufacturing, North Shore Ballast & Concrete Works produces a wide assortment of concrete products for home owners, contractors and businesses through out the region. Andrew makes all the ballasts and concrete products locally on-site. With over 39 years in the business, he and his team are well known for their friendly service and quality workmanship.
