Every project begins with a vision, and these homeowners knew exactly how they wanted this beautiful older home to feel.

The goal was to create a space that felt open, spacious, and connected. By removing walls and completely reimagining the layout, we transformed the heart of their home into a place that's as functional as it is beautiful.

A generously sized island provides abundant storage and a natural gathering place, while warm wood tones, soft finishes, and layered textures create a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The result is a kitchen that feels timeless, inviting, and thoughtfully designed for everyday living.

Some projects leave a lasting impression, and this new home build is definitely one of them. So much thought, creativity, and craftsmanship went into every detail, making it an absolute privilege to be part of bringing this vision to life.

The concrete floors, warm linear rift oak cabinetry by yours truly 😉, and sleek metal toe kick create a rich industrial-modern aesthetic that feels both sophisticated and inviting. Every finish was intentionally selected to complement the next, proving that it's the collaboration of talented people that truly makes a home special.

The overall concept and design by Counting On Design set the tone for an unforgettable space. The custom metalwork throughout the home by Aaron Brough adds striking character, while the stunning beams and handcrafted bench by Joseph Prinzen Woodworks bring warmth, texture, and timeless craftsmanship.

There is something incredibly rewarding about working alongside people who are passionate about what they do. Watching each trade bring their expertise to the table reminds me that the best projects are never created by one person—they're the result of a shared vision, trust, and a commitment to excellence.
