With the wildfire smoke affecting our area, now is a good time to turn off your HRV/ERV to help reduce the amount of smokey outdoor air entering your home.

You can:
✔️ Turn the unit off using the wall control, or
✔️ If your system doesn't have a wall control, unplug the unit at the HRV/ERV itself.

Keeping your windows and doors closed can also help limit smoke from entering your home.

Winter HVAC Reminder ❄️
With the snow piling up, don’t forget about your heat pump and furnace!

• Keep your heat pump clear of snow and ice.
Make sure there’s at least 2–3 feet of open space around the outdoor unit so it can breathe properly. Blocked airflow = poor heating and higher energy bills.

• Check all exterior pipes and vents.
Furnace exhaust, intake pipes, dryer vents, and HRV/ERV vents can get buried or iced over. A blocked vent can cause system shutdowns — or worse, safety issues.

• Change your furnace filter regularly.
A dirty filter restricts airflow, reduces efficiency, and can shorten the life of your equipment. Winter is a good time to check it monthly.

A few minutes of maintenance can prevent costly repairs and keep your home warm and safe all season long. 🔧🔥
