Even the mechanical room deserves a little attention

This finished storage/mechanical space needed to function properly without compromising the clean look of the room. We used a custom-created bulkhead to conceal the mechanical elements while still allowing the space to be properly heated.

A practical solution that keeps the details tucked away and the room looking clean and intentional.

The details are starting to come together at our Bethel Grove project. ✨

Cabinetry is going in, and the spaces are finally starting to look like the vision we’ve had from the beginning. There’s still a few finishing touches to come, but we’re getting so close to the final reveal.

We can’t wait to see it all come together!

We’ve got a bit of a history with making rooms disappear. 👀

A pantry disguised as cabinetry? Check.
A closet hidden in a wall? Check.

We clearly have a thing for doors you’d walk right past without ever realizing they’re there.

Call it practical. Call it clever. We just think hidden rooms are more fun. 😉

Building into a hill means there’s a lot more to figure out before the first wall goes up.

One of the biggest considerations? Determining how many steps the foundation needs to properly follow the slope of the site.

It takes careful planning, elevations, and a good understanding of how the foundation will work with the existing grade. Every site is different, and getting these details right early on makes a big difference throughout the build.

The technical details might not be what you notice when you walk through the finished home but they’re what make the finished home work.
