It’s nice to be able to revisit our projects and add some final touches. We will be adding a structure over the lounge area shortly. We find it very fulfilling to walk around the projects with our clients and have them tell us about the wonderful experiences and the joy they received watching the garden go through the season and all the birds, butterflies and bees that visited. The feature in this garden is very low maintenance as their is no standing water and pretty well the only thing needed is for the pump to be removed in the winter and during the summer water added to replace lost water through splashing and evaporation. Couldn’t be easier and adds a lovely ambiance to the gardens.

Happy Autumn! It’s one of my most favourite times of the year 🍁 (I say that about each of the seasons 😂) All of those rich tones. One of my favourite plants this time of year is Ligularia. It has great presence displaying very large leaves and the contrast between flower and leaves is stunning. The bees also love the flowers. The added bonus is the beautiful seed heads that develop for a wonderful winter display which last a surprising long time making it an excellent winter interest addition. When picking plants for your garden remember all the seasons and don’t get caught by the seduction of flower colour as it’s usually a short period in the plants seasonal display.

Nice to find monarchs in some of its life stages in the garden. Although common milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) is the favourite monarchs will lay their eggs on all milkweeds providing food for the caterpillars as the caterpillars only eat milkweed leaves. With several varieties its easy to add to garden and easy care once established and so rewarding to see the life cycle in action 🦋

What a great place to unwind. All this beautiful house needed was some complimentary landscaping to showcase that lovely addition. Can’t wait to see the garage door changed to windows! Couldn’t of asked for a nicer project, close to home, fantastic clients and a beautiful backdrop and we got to up-cycle some existing material! @ Claremont, Ontario

Lots of custom features in this edible, bird and pollinators paradise project including 2 tier Corten steel veg/herb planters fabricated by our talented friends and the borealis looks spectacular against the Corten We love adding edibles in with the ornamentals! In this garden there’s honey berries, blackberries, Saskatoon berries, goji berry, espalier apples and pears, beans, squash, rhubarb, eggplant, cucumbers, Swiss-chard, spinach etc etc etc along with edible flowers!!!!
