HVAC General Labourer – Oil Tank & Furnace System Removals

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Pay Rate: $25/Hour. Including Paid Travel.

We are looking for a dedicated, physically strong, and reliable General Labourer to join our crew specializing in removals of HVAC oil furnace systems and oil tank removals. No prior HVAC experience is required—we will train the right candidate who brings the right work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
Heavy Removal & Hauling: Safely disconnect and haul away large oil tanks and oil furnaces, and associated piping.
Prep & Clean-Up: Help set up job sites, lay down floor protection, handle tools, and leave the client's home spotless after removal.
Adaptability: Every tank removal location varies; indoor, outdoor, basement.
Support Technicians: Assist senior HVAC installers with tool staging, load/unload trucks, and material prep.

What We’re Looking For
Physical Strength: Ability to lift and maneuver bulky/heavy equipment in tight spaces.
Strong Work Ethic & Reliability: You show up on time every day and you don't mind getting your hands dirty
Willingness to Learn: Basic HVAC mechanics, safety protocols, and trade skills.

Requirements
Must have reliable transportation daily to shop.
Valid Driver’s License (Clean driving record is a plus).
OBT3 or OBT2 Technician License is a plus
Ability to work in varied environments (basements, crawlspaces, outdoor weather).
Steel-toe boots required.

This client is rebuilding a garage and needed a concrete pad poured. We prepped the area by compacting the backfill and adding crushed stone for drainage. The garage pad was poured on 2 inch foam insulation as per the City guidelines. The concrete pad was finished with standard edging and broom finish. We seal the concrete floor as the last step to ensure longevity.

Next up this client wanted a permanent concrete pad versus the existing patio stones for a smaller shed on the property. We followed our same steps to get this shed concrete pad poured.

For this client, we completed a separate concrete walk way for tenants to utilize. Starting with designing the pathway according to the customers' preferences along with complying with City guidelines. We excavated the pathway in preparation for forming and the underlayment of gravel for drainage. The customer did not like the appearance of control lines. To ensure longevity and maximum strength we increased the volume of rebar used and poured an 8 inch pathway. The pathway was designed with a standard edging and a broom finish.
