I have a different sort of project in the workshop at the moment. I am restoring a wood canvas canoe with a customer. I am installing new inwales, repairing the ends of several ribs and installing new canvas. The customer is sanding all of the wood and will revarnish everything.

Yesterday I finished a small bathroom project that was to replace a bathtub and tub surround. While we had things apart, we squeezed a cabinet into the space at the head of the tub. It required a bit of creative thinking to maximise the usable space.

This is the verandah repair project which is now complete. We had a new rubber membrane roof installed and then installed a wooden deck with aluminum railings. Previously we had replaced and made mouldings, made new caps and bases for the pillars as well as replacing one of the beams.

One of my current projects is a verandah repair that other contractors had said should be a tear down and replace project. We retained the triple columns at the corners, making new bases and caps. One of the beams was replaced and then new mouldings were installed. Three of them are standard profiles that I could buy but I made the one on the bottom of the beams.
