Father's Day is all about spending time with family, firing up the BBQ, and enjoying the outdoors.
Unfortunately, mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and ants don't take the day off.
As warmer weather arrives across Peterborough, the Kawarthas, and Northumberland County, many homeowners are noticing increased pest activity around decks, patios, cottages, and backyard gathering spaces.
Before family and friends arrive this Father's Day, take a few minutes to inspect your property:
✔ Look for wasp nests under eaves, decks, and sheds
✔ Remove standing water where mosquitoes breed
✔ Keep grass trimmed to help reduce tick activity
✔ Watch for ant trails around patios and foundations
A little prevention can help ensure your Father's Day celebrations are remembered for great food and great company - not unwanted pests.
