Carver has been part of the RPR team for about a year and a half and says his favourite parts of the job are getting to know our customers, solving problems and working alongside such a supportive team.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find him fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with family and making music.

“We replaced our furnace filter just a week ago, and with all the smoke, this is what it looked like 7 days later. Thanks for the reminder to keep an eye on it!”

A good reminder that with the wildfire smoke we’ve been experiencing, your filter may be working a lot harder than usual. Check it regularly and replace it when it’s looking dirty — even if you just changed it recently.

The sunshine and blue skies over the past couple of days have been a welcome break from the smoke. ☀️💙

While we’re grateful for a little sense of normalcy, we know we’re not fully in the clear yet and many people across our communities are still dealing with the impacts of the wildfires.

If you or someone you know needs support, keep an eye on our stories as we continue sharing helpful resources and information. And if you can, check in on your friends, family and neighbours. Sometimes even a quick message can mean a lot.

Seeing our communities come together to support one another has been inspiring, to say the least. We’ll get through this together. ❤️

First and foremost, we are absolutely devastated by the current wildfire situation in Summerland and throughout our community. Some members of our own team continue to be displaced and directly impacted, and we know there is an incredible amount of stress, sadness and uncertainty being felt by so many right now. ❤️

For those who are fortunate enough to be safely at home, one simple thing you can do to help protect the air inside your home is check your furnace or HVAC filter regularly.

We typically recommend changing your filter about once a month, but with the heavy wildfire smoke and poor air quality we’re experiencing, it’s a good idea to check it every week or so and replace it if it’s becoming dirty or clogged.

To help make that a little easier, we’re offering 25% off all air filters at our shop during the current wildfire situation. Give us a call at 250-492-3677 and we can have the right filters ready for you, or come down and see us at 110 Industrial Pl, Penticton.

We’ll also be using our stories to share information about local resources, supplies and ways to support those impacted by the fires.
