The Skaha Climbers' Association (SCA) is back in action! As before, the SCA is an advocacy group that is aiming to support efforts to preserve, maintain and improve the Bluffs by engaging with all manner of land managers and user groups. A new development is that SCA is intending to partner with CASBC (Climbers' Access Society of BC) - the details of that partnership is being worked on.
The intent is to form a core group of "advocates" or manageable size. So far there are 5 of us that have stepped forward. If you would like to consider joining us, please send us a DM on Messenger. (Note: Time commitment wise, there will likely be meetings every 3-4 months, and email exchanges in between meetings.)
Lastly, the current/existing group of advocates plans to meet with BC Parks in the coming weeks for introductions and broad discussions. Updates, as warranted, to follow.
