OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED TODAY.

(And, by 'office', we mean Crystal isn't answering her phone)

Her son is visiting from Prince George and today is his 26th birthday. So, today, she is putting her 'mom hat' on and spending the day enjoying some family time (and trying not to question how on earth her child is now a 26 year old grown up).

Our crew is still busy working on projects, but all phone calls, text messages and emails can wait—today, the birthday boy outranks the boss ❤️

“Just one more minute” hits different in a shower like this.

Glossy emerald green tile, ch*****ne bronze finishes and that softly lit Schluter-Systems North America niche—we’re having a hard time walking away from this one, too.

This renovation is still in progress, but the shower is already stealing the show.

Would you go green in your bathroom? Give this a ❤️ if it’s your kind of luxury.

Not all tile is created equal (and some tile tests your skill).

Size, shape, thickness, edge profile and slight variations between pieces all affect alignment, grout spacing and how much skill it takes to get the finish right.

Long tiles can highlight tiny imperfections. Geometric patterns keep you accountable in every direction. Larger tile is more often bowed, and fewer grout lines expose even the slightest size variation in the tile or grout line. And smaller tile doesn’t mean a smaller job—those extra joints and cuts add up.

Our recent tile work is proof that the details deserve attention. A near-perfect finish takes careful preparation, thoughtful layout and an installer who understands the material.

Choose the tile you love. Then choose someone who can handle its personality.

OKN Renew can help.

That freshly grouted feeling...

Bathroom 2 of 5 at our Trout Creek project got its grout today, bringing us one step closer to the finished reveal!

This custom home earned its accolades years ago. Now, the homeowners want every update to honour that same high-end quality....and we’re keeping that vision at the heart of this whole home renovation.

There's SO much more to come... but, for now, we're loving appreciating every moment of watching this bathroom design come to life.

You know the awkward little dance where you open a door and step back to let it swing past?

This client decided the doors could do the moving instead. We replaced the hollow core doors with a barn door last year and a bifold barn door this year, modifying and refinishing the existing frames along the way.

With no doors swinging into the room, there’s more usable space and a clearer path through the doorway. That can make a real difference when you’re carrying laundry, moving furniture, or using a mobility aid. And the whole space got a fresh look while we were at it.

Less doorway dancing. More room to live.
OKN Renew does that, too.

When was the last time you used your dining room table?

If you're like us, the dining room table gets used twice a year for dinner and 363 days a year for mail…

We reconfigured this kitchen to extend into what was once the dining area.... adding an 8' kitchen island and removing the table entirely. Now there’s a ton of counter space for meal prep, baking, unloading groceries, and all the other things a kitchen counter somehow needs to do before dinner even starts.

Turns out, the best seat in the house IS in the kitchen.

You wont find this in a catalog....

We scribed the edge of this shower glass to take its cue from the view outside. It’s a little detail that makes this shower feel like it belongs right where it is.

(We're not even sure catalogs are still a thing, but it sounded cooler than 'website', so here we are).

It’s fireplace season!

And nothing makes you notice an outdated fireplace quite like turning it on for the first time in the fall.

Fireplaces are often one of the biggest focal points in a room, which means giving yours a facelift can make a pretty incredible difference.

If yours has you thinking “maybe it’s time…” — OKN Renew can help!

A safer bathroom doesn’t have to look like an accessible bathroom.

We put a lot of thought into making this space safer and easier to use, without making it look like an accessible bathroom.

Needs can change over time — and when accessibility is considered from the beginning, good design can work for everyone.

Practical. Beautiful. Built for real life.
