Carter Wilson 🌿
Today we want to give a special shoutout to Carter Wilson! 👏

Carter has been a part of our lives in more ways than just work. He has been a close friend of our oldest son, Caiden, since they started playing hockey together at just 4 years old. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching their friendship grow — and we’ve also watched Carter grow into the incredible young man he is today.

Carter started working with Nicole Pattenden Landscape Design when he was just 16, and now at 22, it’s amazing to look back and see how far he has come.

He has grown into a hardworking, skilled, and dependable team player who is always willing to learn, take on a challenge, and help wherever he’s needed.

Thank you, Carter, for always showing up, for your dedication, your incredible work ethic, and for always being up for anything. We truly appreciate everything you bring to our team.

It’s been pretty special to watch you grow from a young hockey player alongside Caiden into the talented young man and valued member of our team you are today. We’re proud of you, Carter, and grateful to have you as part of the Nicole Pattenden Landscape Design family. 💚🌿

Today we're putting the finishing touches on this beautiful property—cleaning up garden beds, fertilizing, and adding those extra details that make all the difference.

Our goal is simple: have this landscape looking its absolute best for our clients to enjoy all summer long.

The weather is perfect... aside from the mosquitoes keeping us company. 🦟😅

Happy Friday! 🌿

We’re at the finish line (phase 3)of this beautiful landscape design-build-maintain project, and one of the most important features is coming together perfectly — the installation of a Japanese-inspired Zen garden.

This stunning Japanese Maple, nestled in a protected location, sets the tone for the entire garden. Its graceful cascading form, delicate foliage, and year-round beauty bring a sense of tranquility and balance to the space.

The soft elegance of this weeping Japanese maple creates an inviting focal point, adding color, texture, and timeless character while embodying the peaceful spirit of a Zen garden.

A beautiful way to finish the week and another step toward creating an outdoor space that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Sweet Mme. Lemoine Lilacs

🌸 Pure white double flowers
Produces large clusters (panicles) of densely packed, double white blooms.

Flowers open creamy white and mature to a brilliant pure white, giving a very elegant appearance.

🌿 Exceptional fragrance
Widely regarded as one of the most fragrant lilac varieties.
The scent is rich, sweet, and classic lilac perfume, making it a favorite for cut flowers and planting near patios and walkways.

🦋 Pollinator-friendly
Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators when in bloom.
❄️ Extremely hardy
Performs well in cold climates, generally hardy to Zone 3 and often even colder conditions.
Well suited to Ontario gardens.
🌞 Easy to grow
Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
Once established, it tolerates some drought and requires relatively little maintenance.
🏡 Versatile landscape plant
Works as a specimen shrub, flowering hedge, screen, or informal border.
