From a drive by to talking with the young community members building their dream home to marking up prints and making final decisions. These new home owners have been helping out community members learn some new skills, helping out new community companies get their feet wet and have seasoned trades people coach in all ways. It's been a pleasure working with everyone on site, working together to make things happen. On to the next step for them and we will all be there to help out on any way possible. Feels great to see so many community members jumping in to make their dreams come true.

Stepped onto a new jobsite today. The beginning of a young couples dream home. It’s a great feeling to see friends, family and community members working hard for their dreams. I’m always honoured to contribute to their success.

A client called saying they lost power in two rooms and the hall. I found two receptacles that looked like this.

A burnt electrical outlet is a serious fire hazard caused by overheating, often due to overloaded circuits, loose wiring, or faulty outlets.

Overloaded circuit: Plugging too many high-power devices into one outlet or circuit can cause it to overheat.

Loose connections: As outlets age, wiring can become loose, causing arcing (sparking) that generates intense heat.

This time of year it is usually happening from using a 120v space heater to heat your home which could cause the overloading of the circuit and overheating the receptacle then could turn into a fire. If you have baseboard heaters in good working condition you’re better off using them to heat your home.
If you have a burnt receptacle or old loose connecting receptacle have it fixed asap by a certified electrician.

Finishing up this Reno and getting to hand it off. Great working with a couple great carpenters Chris and Trevor. Big change from what it started out as.
