🌲 WE’RE HIRING: SENIOR OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Peace River Logging | Northwest Alberta
We’re looking for a field leader who puts safety first, earns crews’ confidence, and keeps operations running effectively.
Work alongside our Superintendent and Logging Leads to make safety part of every shift.
💰 $100,000–$120,000 per season, based on experience
📅 12 days on / 2 days off | 12-hour shifts
🚘 Assigned company truck + camp accommodation

LEADERSHIP AND SAFETY COME FIRST
This hands-on role needs someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, supports their people, and follows through.
You’ll:
• Lead, support, and mentor Logging Leads and field personnel.
• Keep safe work practices and environmental compliance central to operations.
• Coordinate crews, contractors, and operating areas, setting priorities and solving field problems.
• Oversee bunching, skidding, processing, loading, hauling, and road work.
• Monitor production, equipment utilization, wood quality, and downtime.
• Work with mechanics to prioritize repairs, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response.
• Keep management informed about safety, staffing, maintenance, and production.
WHAT YOU BRING
• 7+ years in logging or forestry operations.
• Field leadership experience as a supervisor, foreman, lead hand, or similar.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of mechanized harvesting and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews, contractors, and operating areas.
• A valid Class 5 licence, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to travel to remote work areas.
• RPFT or RPF designation is an asset.

ABOUT PEACE RIVER LOGGING
Based at Three Creeks near Peace River, we’re a joint venture between the Woodland Cree First Nation and Mercer, operating since 2004. We harvest approximately 600,000 m³ annually, with around 85 employees and contractors at peak winter operations and a newer Tigercat fleet.
COR certified through the Alberta Forest Products Association.
