Travel Advisory - Holden Corso Road and Walsh Road Paving

Please be advised that Mainroad crews will be repaving Holden Corso Road between Canin Road and MacMillan Road and the west end of Walsh Road near Cedar Community Secondary School.

When: Wednesday, September 2nd to Thursday, September 3rd, 2026
Time: 7:00am to 6:00pm

Single-lane traffic will be in effect at both locations and minor delays are expected. Please allow extra time when travelling through the area.

Travel Advisory - Cross Culvert Installation on Port Albion Road

Please be advised that Mainroad crews will be installing a cross culvert on Port Albion Road near the town of Ucluelet.

Thursday, August 20th to Friday, September 18th, 2026.

7:30am to 5:30pm, Weekdays.

Please expect single lane traffic through the area for the duration of the project.

Drivers are reminded to obey signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers. Please show respect for all roadside crews – Slow Down.

Travel Advisory - Mainroad crews will be replacing a culvert on Godfrey Road, approximately 250 metres north of White Rapids Road near Extension Road.

When: Tuesday, August 4th to Friday, September 11th, 2026.
Time: 24/7 Closure

This project will require a full closure of Godfrey Road at the Stark Creek Crossing. Traffic will be detoured via White Rapids Road and Extension Road.

Drivers are reminded to obey signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers. Please show respect for all roadside crews – Slow Down.

They're out there to keep you safe. Maintaining roads and attending to accidents is all in a day's work. But they rely on *you* to get them home at the end of the day.

Travel Advisory - Centerline Road Reflector Installation on BC Highway 4 from Olsen Road to Sproat Landing

Please be advised that Mainroad crews will be installing centerline road reflectors along BC Highway 4 from Olsen Road in Tofino to Sproat Landing near Port Alberni.

When: Monday, July 20th to Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026.
Time: 6:00pm to 6:00am, overnight.

Please expect slow-moving lane closures in both the east and westbound lanes. The travelling public will yield to oncoming traffic when it is safe to do so.

Drivers are reminded to remain vigilant and watch for crews when travelling through the area. Please slow down when passing roadside workers.

Please be advised that Mainroad crews will be carrying out asphalt crack sealing maintenance on BC Highways 1, 1A, 19, 19A, 4 & 4A.

When: Friday, July 3rd to Monday, July 20th, 2026 | Sunday to Friday

Time: 8:00pm to 7:00am

Drivers can expect slow-moving lane closures with minimal to no impact on traffic.

Please expect single-lane traffic in both directions for the duration of the project.

Please watch out for crews and obey signage. Check www.DriveBC.ca for current road conditions and updates.
