Camelot Homes is looking to expand our team!

We are a well-established custom home builder that has been serving the Parksville–Nanaimo area for over 40 years. Our team handles many aspects of construction in-house, including excavation, electrical, painting, cabinetmaking, and millwork.

The Position - Red Seal Carpenter

We are hiring a full-time, fully ticketed Red Seal Carpenter with a minimum of 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will be a dependable, well-rounded carpenter who can work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Applicants should be proficient in framing, siding, and renovations. Experience with foundations, finishing and as a team lead are also an asset.

What We’re Looking For

• Red Seal Carpenter certification
• Minimum 10 years of carpentry experience
• Strong framing, siding, and renovation skills
• Experience with multiple stages of new construction and renovations
• Foundation and finishing-carpentry experience considered an asset
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clear communication regarding job progress and potential issues
• Willingness to follow procedures and adapt to changing job-site needs
• Pride in your workmanship and a strong eye for detail
• Personal hand tools and steel-toed boots
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to commute to job sites throughout the Parksville–Qualicum Beach area

A unique project - even for us. This past year we worked on a custom made metal greenhouse that was shipped from an existing property in Kelowna to one of our projects in Qualicum. Retrofit with a custom kitchen, a floor made of pavers, and a pizza oven in the exterior covered patio, this greenhouse was a great addition to an already beautiful property.

Stairs often act as the center piece of a home and should be treated as such. There are a lot of factors that affect their design and layout. For this project we prioritized keeping the styles of the wainscotting in line with the mullions of the windows and working the panel sizes into the surrounding walls. The result is a beautiful staircase where each element works with eachother.

Our team is making great progress on this cedar fence rebuild our here in Qualicum. 14" gate posts, new knife plates to support the posts and lots and lots of 1x material to surround this beautiful beach front home.

We wrapped this build in Qualicum Beach a few years ago. Multi-story, open concept, custom kitchen with light wood cabinetry throughout. The combination of different siding materials is what people notice first but the open concept common area and kitchen is what makes them stay. Which space would you want in your own build?
