How was your home during the recent poor outside air quality warnings?

There are several ways to improve your home's indoor air quality and help reduce airborne contaminants.

✅ Upgrade Your Furnace Filter
Higher-efficiency filters can capture more dust, pollen, and smoke particles than standard filters, helping to keep your indoor air cleaner.

✅ Install a HEPA Filtration System
HEPA filtration can remove up to 99.97% of microscopic airborne particles, including many of the fine particles found in wildfire smoke.

✅ Lennox PureAir™ Air Purification System
This whole-home system goes beyond filtration by helping reduce airborne particles, odors, and other contaminants throughout your home.

✅ Maintain Proper Humidity Levels
A whole-home humidifier can help improve comfort and support healthier indoor air during periods when windows and doors remain closed for extended periods.

✅ Optimize Your Air Exchanger (HRV/ERV)
Modern air exchangers can help manage ventilation while maintaining indoor comfort. During poor air quality events, proper settings and operation are important to minimize the amount of smoke entering your home.

If your indoor air quality system left you breathing hard, our team can help.

With the current poor air quality Yellow Alert from Environment Canada, here are some tips to optimize the air quality in your home.
🏠Keep windows and doors closed
🧰Replace or clean furnace filters (a clean filter will help trap particulates that get into your home)
💨Turn your furnace fan to on to circulate air inside
⚙️Turn your Air Exchanger (HRV or ERV) to recirculation or off (to stop it from pulling outside air into your home for the duration)
❄️Run your air conditioner as normal (air conditioners do not pull air from outside when cooling your home)
❌Limit behaviours that negatively impact indoor air quality (burning candles, smoking inside)
