The amount of rain we’ve been seeing lately isn’t just inconvenient, it can quietly turn into a real problem for homeowners. We offer emergency priority for drainage work.

If your basement has ever had moisture, damp smells, or small leaks, this kind of weather can quickly make things worse. What starts as a minor issue can lead to water damage, mold, and costly repairs if it’s not addressed properly.

We’ve been fixing wet basements for years, and one thing we know for sure is that not every solution is the same, and not every home needs the same level of protection.

We know drainage issues can be expensive! So I want to share some tips for the people out there that need immediate assistance and some direction on what to tackle first and maybe bide some time.

The strongest defence in my opinion comes in layers.

• Preventative measures – Grading down away from your house, downspouts that run the water away from your building (No Pooling), drainage and swaling to keep water away from your foundation from surrounding higher land.

More involved work
• Exterior waterproofing - Digging around and exposing your foundation and footings. Apply tar and cover with **Continuous Run of foundation wrap** Lay in drainage tile and cover with 6-8" above of 3/4 clear stone. and cover back up to the surface with a free draining aggregate. (Sand) Run the drainage tile around then away from your house.

• Interior systems - managing water that makes its way in, with proper drainage and sump solutions
