Quilted Memories is excited to be a presenter for the International Quilting Day 2024. It is a combined effort of the Royal City Quilters’, York Heritage Quilters and Waterloo County Quilters’ guilds. This is the fifth year for the Royal City group, the fourth year for York Heritage and the third for Waterloo. All the members of these guilds have the opportunity of attending at no extra charge. Other quilters are welcome to pay a nominal fee to join us for the day.

Working on another charity quilt today. This one is for Victoria's Quilts, backed in flannel, to bring comfort and warmth to a cancer patient. Quilted with Aurifil 28 wt on top and 40 wt in the bobbin. Colour # 5001, one of my favourites.

Getting ready to load this scrap buster quilt and planning to quilt it with Aurifil #5001 in 28 wt. Thanks to Border Creek Station Pattern Company for the 2024 free stash buster pattern. Sheri's pattern made it easy to line up all the squares. These are definitely NOT my colours but I had them in my stash so I decided to use them with alternate black squares.

Does anyone know of a quilt store in Canada that currently carries Cotton and Steel's Ladybudy Lane collection? Specifically, I'm looking for the Olive/gold fabric called Spotty (olive/gold background with little white circles). I have run out and could use more.

I've decided to offer Aurifil's Aurilux polyester threads at a great discount. Three spools for ten dollars. Regular price is ten dollars per spool. Check my website to see which of the 240 colours you want to add to your stash. Great for thread painting and machine embroidery!

Just finished this Hadley sleeveless top yesterday. Fabric is a really drapey rayon and the thread is Aurifil's Aurilux polyester. Aurifil has stopped producing Aurilux but I still have a ton of it available on my website. Great for embroidery too!

Just made and gifted this quilt to a dear friend of ours who is a hobby farmer. Look for the chickens and eggs.

Especially amusing is the backing which features hundreds of cows. MOO!

Quilted on my longarm with Aurifil 40/2 ply thread in a beautiful gold #5010.....one of my favourite colour choices for quilting thread.
