This lobby is designed for the headquarters of an oil company in Alberta, serving as a venue for annual executive meetings, corporate conferences, and the company’s official guest accommodation.

The ceiling concept is inspired by the maple leaf from the Canadian flag, symbolizing identity, stability, and national pride.
During the initial design phase, tensile structures were considered for the ceiling. However, based on safety standards, long-term durability, and maintenance requirements, the design evolved toward a double-layer stainless steel ceiling.

The leaf patterns are precisely executed using CNC fabrication, ensuring a balance between refined aesthetics, structural integrity, and long-term performance.

This lobby is not merely an entrance—
it is an architectural statement of corporate identity, strength, and prestige.

For more than 20 years, since I began my journey in design, alongside my passion for residential and commercial projects—where the diversity of spaces and the challenge of problem-solving always felt like solving a complex puzzle—I have had a deep interest in industrial architecture, but through a distinctly architectural lens.

My approach has always been to move beyond repetitive industrial forms: gable roofs, conventional sandwich panel façades, and identity-less entrances. Instead, I aim to create human-centered environments—spaces designed for people, both inside the building and within its surrounding outdoor areas.

Since 2005, I have been entrusted with the design and ex*****on of multiple industrial complexes, including mineral water factories in Sepidan (Fars Province), manufacturing facilities for doors and plastic components in Yasuj, and the design-build of a cosmetic and personal care factory in the Shiraz Special Economic Zone. This last project was fully conceptual, structurally bold, and remains one of my most inspiring works.

A key factor in the success of these large-scale projects was close collaboration with a highly professional and motivated structural engineering team—where structure defines form, rather than materials alone.

Since 2023, I have continued this design philosophy in Canada, where industrial spaces are no longer purely industrial. Through adaptive reuse and collaborations with brands such as City Block, many of these buildings are transformed into vibrant urban environments—stadiums, community centers, children’s recreational spaces, trampoline parks, and swimming facilities—particularly in response to Canada’s long winter season.

With experience in over 7 million sq. ft. of commercial design, including landmark projects such as:
• Persian Gulf Shopping Center – Shiraz
• Yasuj City Center – Yasuj
• Qeshm Mall – Qeshm
• Gach Mall – Khuzestan
and other projects in Iran and the Middle East, combined with over three years of specialized façade design experience in Canada, working with leading cladding companies in Toronto and Ontario, and collaborating on Job Sites for high-rise, mid-rise, custom houses, and commercial-industrial complexes, we were able to blend international and local expertise to deliver innovative and practical solutions.
