Some updates on our project in Ottawa’s west end. Our team is currently providing mechanical construction services for Homestead Land Holdings Limited’s Riviera Gate complex at 1300 McWatters Rd.

Our Richmond Rd project is looking a bit different lately! The original heritage building has been moved back and integrated into the condo build! We are providing mechanical contracting services alongside:

Last Thursday, we traded managing projects and job sites for speed at Top Karting 🏎️💨

Safe to say… some of us drive a lot better on projects than on the track 😅

A few “strategic bumps,” some impressive control losses, and a whole lot of laughs later—what a night.

Big congrats to our champions from both waves 🏁 (you’ve officially earned bragging rights… for now).

Same team, different arena—and just as competitive.

We have a long standing commitment to the environment that is reflected in our projects.

Alliance was contracted to implement Zibi Block 10 & 13’s sustainability plans, which follow the One Planet Living® sustainability framework.

The Stone Abbey is a LEED Platinum design-build project where we helped implement a geothermal heating/cooling system as well as EV charging stations.

At Cisco Kanata, we integrated a state-of-the-art system where chillers run at night to make ice when the electricity rates are lower, then pump water through the ice tanks during the day to make chilled water.

The Eddy is one of the few LEED Platinum condominiums in Canada. We installed geothermal heating/cooling, as well as rainwater collection and recycling systems.

At Bayview Yards, Alliance was hired as the mechanical, electrical, and design-build contractor for this LEED Gold certified building originally built in the 1940s.

Celebrating Leadership at Alliance Engineering & Construction

We are proud to share that Karine Génier, CFO & Partner, has been named one of Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade, in partnership with the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management Executive MBA program.

Karine has played a key role in shaping Alliance’s growth and transformation. Since 2022, she has led the development of our finance and human resources functions, strengthened financial governance, and supported the company through a period of significant expansion.

She also spearheaded the implementation of a new ERP system, significantly improving operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and real-time project visibility, while helping scale our organization to over 190 employees.

Beyond the numbers, Karine is a strong advocate for people and culture. Her leadership has contributed to building a workplace that supports employee development and engagement — helping Alliance earn recognition as one of Ottawa’s Best Places to Work.
