Position Overview

The GLAZING TECHNICIAN is a technician with a high level of knowledge and quality of work output and is responsible for upholding The Glass Shop’s high standards of workmanship and service on all projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Work as a team member and assist the Lead Technician

o Further develop knowledge and skill in all installation techniques for all product installs

o Participation in education and training opportunities as available, to increase job knowledge

o Assist in preparing supplies, products, and tools required for installation

o Assist with completing installations/ service requirements at a level that is acceptable to the owner

o Report any and all issues, deficiencies, damages, errors, etc. as they are discovered

o Work with the Administrative team to improve workflows

Qualifications and Requirements:

o Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills

o Demonstrates an ability to work both effectively as a member of a team and independently

o Ability to use provided documents and tools

o Adapt to changes to meet organizational requirements

o Ability to lift and carry required materials and tools short distances

Any of the following would be considered an asset:

Previous Glazing/Installation Experience

Up to date WHMIS training

Valid " Working at Heights " Certification (and the ability to work at heights when required)
