Earlier this month, our Production Manager Darren Vander Meer and Lead Designer Jeff Hurdis travelled to Switzerland and Germany alongside a group of Canadian builders, designers, and consultants to deepen their knowledge in building science, airtightness, moisture management, and passive home construction.

From intensive training at SIGA headquarters in Switzerland to attending the International Passive Home Building Conference in Germany, the trip reinforced an important idea: building durable, high-performance homes is the future.

One of the biggest takeaways? Investing in the “bones” of a home (its performance, durability, and longevity) will always stand the test of time.

We’re proud to continue learning, growing, and bringing these insights back to our projects here at home.
