Last weekend our crew was called out to drop 2 large Eastern Cottonwood Poplars. One leaning Towards our drop site and one leaning backwards over a shed and hydro lines.
With proper setup, equipment, and precision we were able to drop these trees without damaging surrounding property.

Recently our crew were faced with a couple of different trees.

First tree we dealt with was a large white pine leaning over a house with several large branch failures. With careful rigging we were able to bring the tree down safely with no damage to the house.

Second was a dead ash tree nearing services lines out in Kemptville. By climbing and cutting sections off the tree we were able to safely remove the tree and bucking all the wood into 16 inch rounds.

Then to end off the weekend our crew tackle a very hazardous situation with a completely failed Elm hung up in a dead ash. With proper planning and rope management we were able to pull the trees over safely in the desired direction without damaging fences or surrounding structures. After cutting the up the wood, removing the brush and raking the lawn we left the property clean and hazard free.

Recently our crew took on a few removals. We removed a co-dominant maple which had a rotting stem leaning towards the neighbour’s property. We were able to climb the tree and take it down safely before the situation got any worse.

After that we were called out to remove a dead Elm tree that was hung up in an oak tree above a shed. With care and precision, we tied off the dead tree, suspending it, allowing us to work safely to get the tree down on the ground without damaging surrounding buildings.

Hazardous trees are not only dangerous to property but everyone that is around them. If you have hazardous trees, trees that need pruning, or need tree care advice, do not hesitate to reach out.

Last weekend, our crew was called out to remove a large sugar maple. As much as we try not cut down large trees this tree was an exception. With a main leader rotting away and general dieback in the crown of the tree the home owner was worried that it could fail resulting in a retaining wall being destroyed.

With the right equipment and skills we were able to have this large tree come down safely with no damage to surrounding areas with the result of a happy customer.

A removals weekend!

The Ten Trees crew tackled various trees in the south east end of Ottawa. We first took down a Poplar that had a failing stem because of a previous tear out in earlier years. A full clean up left the property looking better than when we arrived!

After that we removed a couple of small trees that were close to a shed preventing them from becoming a larger issue in the future.
