FAQ: Is it safe to plug multiple appliances into one outlet?

The short answer: not always.

Plugging too many high-powered appliances into the same outlet or circuit can cause an overload, potentially leading to a tripped breaker or, more seriously, an electrical hazard.

A few things to keep in mind:
⚡ Avoid overloading outlets
⚡ Be cautious with power bars and extension cords
⚡ Never use damaged cords or outlets
⚡ Give high-powered appliances their own dedicated circuits when required

If you’re constantly relying on extension cords or power bars, it may be a sign that your home needs additional outlets or electrical work.

When in doubt, have it checked by a licensed electrician. Your electrical system isn’t something to take chances with.
