Every safe asbestos removal starts long before the material is actually removed.

One of the first steps is sealing off the work area by installing critical containment barriers. Taping and sealing every opening helps prevent dust and fibres from leaving the containment zone, protecting both the building and everyone working inside it.

This is one of the most important steps of any abatement job.

At West Mall in Etobicoke, our crew took on the removal of office signage from a high-rise tower — working alongside our partners at Pomerleau, suspended off the building face on cantilevered scaffolding.

No one left the ground until every detail was locked down: fall protection, anchoring systems, sequencing, contingencies.

Safe. Efficient. Done right, start to finish.

Another project safely underway at Carleton University.

As part of an energy efficiency upgrade, our team is helping prepare the building for new, modern windows that will improve performance and reduce energy loss for years to come.

This window replacement project includes:

✅ Type 2 removal of interior drywall/plaster around each window opening.
✅ Type 1 removal of the asbestos-containing caulking around the window frames.
✅ Exterior removal of the glass and window frames.
✅ Custom scaffolding built to safely access stairwell windows from the 5th floor down to the 2nd floor.

Views from the ground up.

This is the West Mall office tower in Etobicoke—standing approximately 18 storeys tall and 59 metres (194 feet)—where our team completed an office sign removal alongside our partners at Pomerleau.

Seeing the building from this perspective really puts the work into context. Our crew was operating from cantilevered scaffolding high above the highway, relying on technical expertise, disciplined safety practices, and meticulous planning to complete the project without incident.

The higher the challenge, the more important the preparation.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to support the Ronald McDonald House Toronto Golf Classic at Thornhill Golf Club.

Since 2003, the tournament has raised more than $4.8 million to help families stay close to their seriously ill children while they receive specialized medical care.

Inflector Environmental Services is proud to support such a meaningful cause.
