A lot of patience is required when it comes to installing a custom mosaic backsplash. The result of it though is this beautiful, one of a kind custom backsplash.

The cascading waterfall effect was created simply by using two colours, black and gold. Completing a full layout prior to the installation helps make it easier to view the final design and is a crucial step to switch out individual tiles in the mosaics before they’re adhered to the wall.

The final result of this design, which was done by the owner, really makes this kitchen backsplash pop and gives the room an elevated look of beauty and elegance.

When one challenging luxury condo unit just isn’t enough, you take on another project! In this second unit we once again worked with George Pinto of Legacy Stone to take on this monumental task, as the master ensuite bathroom is completed using 10ft x 5ft porcelain tile panels.

This glamorous bathroom features a walk-in steam shower, completely encased in porcelain panels. To go along with the steam shower, the shower also has built in body jets and a massive 2ft x 2ft rain head shower recessed into the tiled ceiling.

The panels also follow the surrounding walls and provide the background to the bathtub area, with a built-in niche that is encased in the same porcelain panel material.

Two more completed bathrooms from the luxury custom condo unit we’ve been working on!

The first set of pictures features the main bathroom, which is done completely in marble slabs. The floor and fully wrapped walls in this stunning bathroom show off the spectacular colours of the veins that run through the marble.

The second set of pictures features the guest ensuite bathroom. The floor is done using a mosaic, composed of little black hexagon tiles. The walls are fully wrapped in the same marble that was used in the main bathroom.

Just a few more completed tasks from the custom condo we’ve been working on!

The powder bathroom takes the same design concept as the master bathroom, but the black marble features more prominent white veins running throughout the slabs. The floor is once again composed of the pure white marble slabs.

The fireplace face is done using only two slabs, measuring 11ft wide by 10ft high. It also features a mitered return to give the illusion that the fireplace has been carved into a block of the black marble.

Since this is a condo, there was no avoiding some structural supports in the large open spaces unfortunately. Rather than leave the concrete column exposed, the black marble was again used to ‘cover it up’. The corners were all mitered and done with epoxy to continue the illusion that everything is one solid block of marble.

Our latest ‘labour of love’ was this master en-suite bathroom. This entire en-suite was done using marble slabs.

The floor was a pure white marble shipped directly from Italy, while the walls were a black marble with white veins running throughout the slabs. The biggest challenge of this job, apart from having to maneuver these slabs by hand, was getting the veins in the wall slabs to follow and flow with the adjacent slabs.

To accomplish a job of this magnitude we had to partner with Legacy Stone. George Pinto once again showed off his incredible skill and work managing to produce all these slabs with almost no turn around time.

Words can’t fully describe the time and work that this bathroom took, however these pictures definitely show what you would expect to find in a luxurious, custom designed condo!

One of the latest up and coming trends for fireplaces has been the use of polished cement board panels to give that industrial modern aesthetic look.

The 24”x 48” panels are a finished cement face adhered to a backer panel, resulting in a thickness of approximately half an inch. The custom miter cut of the outside corner allows them to be installed in a manner that makes it appear as if the fireplace is set within large cement blocks and gives the room a feeling of grandeur.

By far one of the most spectacular and breathtaking front entrances we’ve ever done. This dual landing entrance was not an easy project, but the resulting product shows it was worth the wait and the time!

The entire project was done using Banas stone, but involved different sized stones for the coping and the interior slabs.

The coping is all 2” thick material and involved four and five foot lengths. The curve of the main landing was all custom cut to fit. This was no easy task and had to be done partnered with George Pinto, as the majority of the slabs had to be cut at his shop and then transported to site. The slabs on the interior brick pattern were all 1” thick and measured 24”x36”.

Upon completion the entire entrance was washed and sealed with penetrating sealer to make sure this fantastic project lasts for years to come!
