This is a custom modified Proto 2000 model, with some detail parts and new lettering added. Then for weathering, it was done with Vallejo washed to add contrast to the panel lines and other key areas. Vallejo Air paints were then airbrushed for the main effects. Some final washes on the trucks and a Vallejo Matte clear coat to keep everything in place.

Handrails done, and silver added to the hose tips. Part of one of the yellow patch decals on the long hood was lifting so I used some clear enamel to hold it in place for the airbrushing. The wipers were missing from the box, so I used some spares I had on hand, painted black and held in place with some Kristal Klear.

Washes are done, and now putting on the handrails before it gets the airbrush.

One of my personal, and overall favourite prototype, models. This is an Athearn Genesis ONR SD75i. Some slightly-below-medium weathering done to get it ready for the rails. I tried out a new technique of using very low pressure in the ai**un to get a fine splatter effect on the plow and trucks.
