When your quote says

“This tree removal will be completed by crane by an ISA Certified Arborist. Work includes the removal of all debris and a full clean up of the work site.”

THIS is what that looks like.

You know trees on city land are municipal property, and you know private companies can't touch em, so why are there Wright Tree Service crews posted up next to city trees all the time?

Because we work with the City of Ottawa to provide maintenance and emergency services.

While we love providing à la carte private tree care, we ALSO love working on our shared urban forest to keep Ottawa's canopy thriving for years to come!

It's the MOST wonderful time of the year 🎶

No, not Christmas.
Autumn.

The sun is shining, the air is cool, the crews have an all-too-brief window of wonderful work weather, and all is well with the world.

(YES, we'll still be at it when the snow flies - we offer year-round service. But we're living in the MOMENT)

Rhizosphaera needle cast is rarely fatal on its own, but it can kill individual lower branches.

Total tree death is rare and usually happens only under extreme, prolonged conditions or when the tree is severely stressed by drought or additional pests.

When in doubt, consult an arborist to identify the issue and assist with management and control.

In celebration of National Tree Day, volunteers are invited to participate in planting 300 trees of diverse species — including Black maple, Basswood and Hackberry— helping restore local biodiversity and climate resilience.

They’ll also be spreading mulch and watering newly planted trees to give them the best possible start.

Tree Canada experts will be on hand to answer all your tree-related questions.

Looks innocuous, doesn't it?

Some cracks, some peeling, some shredded debris...

All classic signs of a lightning strike.

In some cases, the damage may be more obvious and severe. But in many, you may only see a few curious clues.
Some trees can recover, but even ones with little visible damage may not survive.

Wait and see, keep a close eye, or give us a call.

Under the City of Ottawa Tree Protection Bylaw, distinctive trees require a permit for removal.
We've got that covered.

Planting a replacement tree is commonly a condition of permit approval.
We've got that covered too.

We provide recommendations for new trees and the service to install them, so we can keep our urban forest growing and thriving.
