Like humans attics need to breathe ! Inhale from soffit and exhale through roofing vents. Proper vapour barrier and R60 value insulation. Attics should always be within 5-10 degrees of the temperature outside. ALWAYS do an attic inspection before buying a house ! Even if you own a house best to do one every couple of years to be safe ! Improper connectéd bathroom fan vent ducting - Poor soffit intake - Poor roof venting exhaust - Poor vapour barrier and insulation were all contributing factors in causing an attic FULL of black mould causing this homeowner alot of money.
