Heat naturally moves from warmer areas to colder areas.

During winter, heat can escape through the roof, walls, windows, doors, floors, and small gaps around the building. In summer, outdoor heat can enter through the same areas and make the home uncomfortable.

Insulation slows heat transfer, while air sealing helps prevent unwanted drafts and energy loss. Proper windows, ventilation, vapour control, and continuous insulation also help maintain a stable indoor temperature.
