That's exactly what we did with this project in Whitby.

We transformed an entire bedroom into the homeowner's dream walk-in dressing room — complete with a quartz-topped island, jewelry organization, extensive shoe storage, custom hanging and drawers, and even an integrated stacked laundry centre.

This is one of our favourite examples of what happens when we stop thinking of a closet as simply “some shelves and hanging rods” and start designing the entire space around the person who will use it.

There is a LOT of Built In Durham love, sweat, and yes... even a few tears (of joy), poured into this home.

What began as a vision became a truly one-of-a-kind custom executive bungalow—thoughtfully designed to bring the outdoors in. Soaring ceilings, massive walls of glass, and peaceful forest views blur the lines between home and nature, creating a space that's both striking and incredibly calming to live in.

Like many families, life evolves. What we believed would be our forever home has led us in a new direction, creating an opportunity for another family to begin their own story here.
