🍂 Happy Thanksgiving 🍂

This Thanksgiving, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the things that matter most. The people who support us, the relationships we’ve built, and the opportunities that allow us to do what we love.

We’re grateful for our wonderful clients, trusted contractors , and everyone who continues to place their confidence in us. Your support means more than you know, and we’re proud to be part of such a wonderful community.

From our family to yours, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, good company, and plenty of reasons to be thankful.

Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend. 🧡

Another project completed for Royal Property Management at the Anchorage Condominium in Belleville.

We were called in to remove an original metal framed door that had deteriorated from rust, causing ongoing issues with opening and closing properly.

These frames are not an easy removal. The original door frame was anchored directly into the surrounding wall, with concrete poured around the sides and across the top of the frame. Once the old door was removed, we widened the opening by 2” to accommodate the new, wider frame.

The new frame was installed, securely anchored into the existing concrete, and the sides and top were then re-poured with concrete to properly set and reinforce the installation.

Once the concrete has had the required 7 days to cure, their maintenance team will return to hang the new door.

After years of patchwork repairs that continued to fail, we were contacted to provide a more permanent solution for this beautiful heritage commercial building in Newcastle.

We removed the bottom five courses of severely spalled and previously patched brick and replaced them with cement block. The new block was then parged using a two-coat system, incorporating fibre mesh between the layers for added strength and durability.

A proper restoration isn’t about continually patching the same problem, it’s about addressing the underlying issue and providing a lasting solution while respecting the character of the building.

Had the absolute honour of carrying out restoration work at the Brighton Town Hall for the Municipality of Brighton.

The project involved carefully removing the spalling brick along the entire length of the wall and replacing the deteriorated sections with cement block. The new blockwork was then parged to provide a clean, durable finish.

Back at this Heritage Society building for the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Following a thorough inspection to ensure both chimneys were clear and free of wildlife, we installed solid natural stone caps on both chimneys, completing the work with a durable, traditional finish.

Another small but important step in preserving the integrity and character of this historic building for years to come.

The foundation was carefully stripped of all existing paint and parging before being prepared for restoration. We installed galvanized metal lath to provide a solid, reinforced base, followed by a new parge coat applied over the entire surface.

Had the pleasure of working on this beautiful heritage home in Cobourg.

This project involved carefully removing approximately 130 spalling bricks from a load-bearing brick wall in the basement. Each damaged brick was replaced with new brick, laid using traditional lime mortar to respect the character and construction of this historic home.

Another restoration where craftsmanship, attention to detail, and preserving the integrity of the original structure truly matter. 🧱

Had the pleasure of working on this beautiful heritage home in Madoc, rich with local history and architectural character.

This remarkable home was built by the original owner of the Madoc stone quarry, making the property’s connection to the region’s stonework history especially significant.

We had the privilege of carefully rebuilding this collapsed stone wall using traditional lime mortar, preserving the character and craftsmanship of this historic property for years to come.

Another rewarding restoration and a true pleasure to be part of. 🧱
