Since the opening of our doors in 1994, Green Acres has continued to be locally owned. We pride ourselves on being a proud member of the Orleans community by playing an active role within the community and offering the highest quality snow-blowing service every winter. Such precise geographical focus allows us to keep our finger on the pulse of what’s happening locally when it snows and enable us

to work tirelessly to deliver the promised results. Our longstanding Honour Role membership in the Ottawa Better Business Bureau is very important to us as it allows us to be transparent in delivering our services. We feel our many years of leadership experience in the snow industry has increased our customer’s confidence and trust in our ability to deliver the best possible service.

We hope that you are doing well. It looks like this will be the biggest storm yet this winter.

Tractor drivers will begin clearing early this afternoon. We expect our first run to be done by supper time. We will continue to do work until plow ridges are cleared. Shovellers will begin later this evening and work overnight.

Please note that there is a City of Ottawa parking ban is in effect from 7pm to 7am.

Snow Event update❄⬇

Tractors have been cleaning driveways overnight, and will continue to do so until they are done clearing plow ridges.

Shovelling will begin shortly and continue into the early afternoon.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A PARKING BAN IN EFFECT FROM 10AM TO 7PM TODAY JANUARY 11TH, 2026

Lake effect has created the perfect storm to cause 10cms of snow that not one of the seven weather outlets, including Environment Canada, that we monitor predicted. We are dispatching staff on unusually short notice, and we will service your property as soon as possible.

We apologize for any delays caused by this unforeseen event. Clean-up will continue throughout the day.

❄📢We are excited to service your property! Tractor clearing and shovelling will begin late this evening, and continue overnight.

Our drivers have been instructed to remain at least 1 foot away from our markers to avoid damaging your lawn as the ground is not completely frozen.
