Excavation is wrapped up at our Mission Hill project! 💪 Over 100,000 pounds of dirt hauled to the dump, with careful digging around utilities along the way.

Preparing for a long-lasting retaining wall and patio takes time, and a lot of the work happens below the surface. Looking forward to seeing this one come together!

Good day on our new Mission Hill project!

Clayten and I built the block stairs on a solid base with drainage to help prevent settling. Meanwhile, Dave and Colten worked on the stone pathway in the backyard. It’s coming together nicely.

The last photo shows what’s up next, plenty of pavers and and allen blocks to finish off the patio and help protect the front yard from collapsing.

The Mara project has come to an end! 🙌

This job was an absolute rollercoaster. The amount of concrete, buried structures and parkade roofs we uncovered while excavating was unbelievable. Every time we thought we had a plan, the ground seemed to have another surprise waiting for us!

We adapted, found solutions and learned a ton along the way. After months of hard work, we completed a new concrete retaining wall, extensive fencing, tree and vegetation removal, raised garden beds, landscaping, drainage, gravel installation and plenty more.

This was one of the largest and most challenging projects we’ve taken on, and I couldn’t be prouder of the transformation or the effort our crew put into it. A huge thank-you to The Mara for trusting Above & Beyond Exterior Designs with this project and to all the residents for their patience throughout the work.

Another great transformation completed! 💪

We removed five shrubs and a pine tree, scraped away all the vegetation, then brought in ¾” crush and compacted it layer by layer to create a solid, long-lasting surface.

This client now has plenty of extra space to park their toys!

Some good progress at The Mara today! A lot has been happening at The Mara! 💪

We removed over 40,000 lbs of rock, dirt, and debris, replaced the old rotten fence posts to give the back fence a solid foundation for years to come, installed durable new corrugated metal garden beds, and completed a bunch of fresh rock work to bring the whole space together. Just missing the custom lighting and fence that will really make the entrance glow! 🤩
