I am a passionette impressionist painter whose work radiates with vibrant, colour, emotional depth, and a deep love for nature, animals and the human connection to the outdoors.

Three of my paintings are currently on display in Creatures & Curiosities, the Vernon Community Art Show.

I’m so happy to have my work included in this exhibition celebrating the wonderfully curious, quirky and creative side of art.

If you’re in Vernon, pop in and have a look at the show!

“Obsidian” 🖤💙

I’ve been having fun with ravens lately, and this one is definitely a little moody! I love the deep blues and all the loose, expressive brushwork in this piece.

14” x 14” original acrylic on canvas — $275

He’s available if anyone is interested. 😊

🦉 Who, Me?

This owl is heading to Art on the Green this Saturday in Sorrento.
I’ll be there with my art — and if it’s smoky, we’ll move indoors. Hope to see you there!

Sometimes a painting just makes you smile…

This curious hare has those big expressive eyes, bold colours, and a personality all its own. Painting animals like this is my happy place. I love imagining the little spark that makes each one unique.

If this colourful character makes you smile too, I’d love to hear what you think!

🎨 Original acrylic painting by Silke Yardley.

Bold colours. Expressive eyes. Animals full of personality.
