Another beautiful backyard transformation completed in Oakville! This project came with a unique challenge: creating a space that was both functional and accessible for our client, who has mobility concerns. To make the yard easier to enjoy, we incorporated a custom ramp into the center of the patio, providing comfortable access to the lawn and gardens below.
One of the biggest design challenges was working around several mature trees, including a cherished Japanese Maple that the homeowner couldn't imagine removing. Rather than designing around it, we made it the focal point of the entire space. What once felt out of place now stands as a stunning centerpiece, surrounded by thoughtfully integrated stonework and landscape features.
This project involved extensive retaining wall construction and a lot of careful planning, but seeing the finished result—and a happy customer enjoying their outdoor space—made every bit of the effort worthwhile.
