Hi there. I’m sharing this post in hopes of reaching as many people as possible. This is Penny,my mother-in-laws much loved cat. Sadly now that she has passed we desperately need to find a home for her. Please share this post so that we can spread awareness of her. And if you have any questions or suggestions please call Kim or I.
She is posted on Simba’s cat rescue and Home to home. I’ll attach pictures below and I’ll add the description.

Penny is a beautiful girl born May 15, 2016, and she is fully vetted—spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her vaccine boosters are due in May and the cost will be covered.

Penny has been with her mom since she was a kitten, and she was deeply loved. Her mom recently passed away, and while finding the right home for Penny might take time, her greatest wish was for Penny to be safe, cared for, and loved again.

Penny is very vocal and full of personality. She loves playing with string toys and will even play fetch sometimes!

She isn’t a lap cat, but she shows affection in her own ways—rubbing against your legs, chatting with you, and slowly building trust. She has always been a bit growly with most people, but she’s already made huge progress and is becoming more and more comfortable, even allowing gentle pets by hand now.

Penny would do best in a quiet, patient home that understands she just needs time to feel safe. She may also be able to adjust to another calm cat with proper introductions, as she has shown curiosity rather than aggression.

She’s a striking cat with long legs and a unique heart-shaped marking on her face—truly one of a kind.

Tree work is CANCELED! Well, at least until the fall. Unless a tree is an active hazard, save your tree cutting until nesting season is wrapped up in the fall. This time of year, rehabbers are flooded with baby animals due to habitat destruction, so let's do our rehabbers and the animals a favor by postponing that tree work.

We’re expecting rain and milder weather over the next few days. Please take steps in advance to prepare and protect against basement and yard flooding.

🏠 If your home uses a device like a sump pump or backwater valve, check that they are in good working order.

💧 Make sure any backyard catchbasins on your property are clear to help melting snow drain away.

🔍 Check that your downspout extenders are in place to direct water away from your foundation and ensure they are free and clear of ice.

With all the snow we have been getting,please make sure your vents are cleared out. Be safe. Stay warm.

Snow, snow and more snow is on the way !
Don't forget to keep your natural gas meter and appliance vents clear of snow and ice, including the path leading to them.
This will prevent dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in your home.

Happy Halloween everyone

A warning to everyone that there’s a furnace scam going on in the area. The scammers are claiming to be the government and want to inspect your furnace. The government does not inspect furnaces, so please don’t allow entry into your home, or give out any personal information.
Please be safe out there. And please pass on this message to your neighbours,family and friends.

Just a friendly reminder that the cooler weather is coming soon. Please remember to shut off your outside taps before the deep freeze comes and causes some issues for you. And also give your furnace a good run before you need it to stay warm and cozy.
