There was nothing here. Not a wall, not an opening, not a finish.

Welcome to Pilattes Studio & Cafe. ☕

A full commercial buildout from an empty shell. Demo and floor prep across the entire unit, then framing, arched openings and bulkheads to set the shape of the space, with complete electrical, HVAC and plumbing rough in before anything was closed up.

From there, custom millwork throughout, venetian plaster, tile and specialty finishes, and the fixtures, lighting and signage that finish it. A studio, a cafe, change rooms and washrooms, all delivered under one contract.

One space, every trade, start to finish.

Two floors, two patterns, one material. Getting that to feel deliberate rather than inconsistent is the whole job.

Oak herringbone runs through the main floor, where the pattern has room to be seen. Straight lay carries the upstairs and the bedrooms, where the space calls for something quieter. Same oak, same stain, so the change in pattern reads as a decision instead of a transition.

Same finish, same flow, top to bottom.

Old cherry hardwood out. Oak herringbone in. 🔨

Herringbone through the main floor, straight lay upstairs and across the bedrooms, and the stairs recapped with new railing posts and stained to match.
