Engineered Trusses VS Hand (Stick) Framing - whats the difference? In this video Adrian breaks down the difference between the two.
Engineered Trusses are pre-fabricated to exact specifications then delivered to site. A crane drops the trusses on the roof where the Cadence team will then spread them out and secure them.
Hand or Stick Framing is more on site labour intensive. The team will cut each and every piece of wood to the proper specification and install them then and their.
Both are equally sturdy but have their own individual strenghts, and weaknesses. Engineered trusses are more cost effective but there are limitations on size and scope. Stick framing is slower and more tedius but far more adaptable.
Most projects get a nice mix of both to create the whole roof.
