Every Child Matters. ๐Ÿงก

As an Indigenous-owned and operated business, Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation are deeply meaningful to all of us at Warrior Plumbing.

We honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never came home, and acknowledge the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of this history.

We are fathers, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and family members of survivors. Their strength and resilience continue to inspire us. Their stories have left a deep imprint on our hearts and continue to guide the way we move forward.

We remain committed to supporting healing within Indigenous communities and to advancing meaningful reconciliation through respect, understanding, and partnership.

As we reflect on September 30, we remember the resilience of those who came before us and remain hopeful for a future built on truth, respect, reconciliation, and opportunity for everyone.

Last Friday, our president, Curt Thomas, had the privilege of joining Kimberley Marion of KICA Contracting on a panel at the Greater Vancouver Board Of Trade's Indigenous Opportunities Forum 2026, moderated by Tanya Corbet of Sedgwick Strategies.

Curt spoke about the importance of being open to change and taking chances on new relationships, noting that the partnerships we build today can create opportunities not only now but for future generations.

Another highlight of the forum was hearing from the many speakers throughout the morning, each offering thoughtful perspectives and practical insights on how organizations can build respectful relationships and lasting partnerships with Indigenous companies and communities.

With the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation approaching on September 30, it was especially fitting to join a conversation centred on listening, learning, and working together toward lasting progress.

Thank you to the Greater Vancouver Board Of Trade, Canadian National Railway (CN), the speakers, organizers, and attendees for creating such an engaging and important event. We were honoured to participate and look forward to continuing the conversation and strengthening partnerships for years to come.

Warrior Team Day 2026 ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ›ถ

Great teams aren't built only on the job site. They're built through shared experiences, trust, and learning together.

Last Friday, the Warrior Plumbing team stepped away from the tools and office for an afternoon of connection. We enjoyed lunch on the patio at the beautiful Northlands Golf Course before heading to Cates Park on Tsleil-Waututh Nation lands for an unforgettable paddle tour with Takaya Tours.

For a few of our Warriors who are members of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and the Squamish Nation, introducing the rest of our team to the history, culture, and waters that have shaped their families for generations made the experience especially meaningful.

Huy ch q'u (thank you) to Trevor and Seth of Takaya Tours for guiding us through the history, teachings, and deep connection the Tsleil-Waututh people have with Burrard Inlet.

A special thank you to our president, Curt Thomas, for continually investing in our people. Your thoughtful leadership reminds us that a strong team is built through relationships, respect, learning, and meaningful, shared experiences.

Those investments make us stronger, more connected, and better equipped to serve our clients and communities.

The weather couldn't have been better; the conversations were memorable, and the day was team-building at its best!

More hot water. Greater comfort. ๐Ÿšฟ

This homeowner upgraded from a 40-gallon hot water tank to a new 50-gallon Bradford White system, adding 25% more hot water capacity and improved efficiency for everyday living.

Whether it's busy mornings, back-to-back showers, or a growing family's daily routine, having the right-sized hot water tank can make all the difference. At Warrior Plumbing, we help homeowners choose the right solution for their home, ensuring reliable performance for years to come.

How old is your hot water tank? Let us know in the comments below. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Warrior Plumbing owner Curt Thomas began his plumbing journey at BCIT. ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“š

Today, as President of Warrior Plumbing, he's helping lead projects that strengthen communities, including the Hwulm'ut Housing Society (HHS) affordable housing development on Tsleil-Waututh Nation lands.

We're proud to see Curt featured in BCIT's latest School of Construction video, where he shares how his career began, what inspired him to start Warrior Plumbing, and how that journey has led to meaningful projects that make a difference.

Behind every Warrior is a team working harmoniously together. ๐Ÿ’™

When you think of Warrior Plumbing, you probably picture our plumbers and gas fitters out in the field.

But behind every service call, installation, and project is a team helping keep everything running smoothly in the background.

Meet Ghazal Pour Aliakbar, our Administrative Assistant, who keeps schedules, customer communications, invoicing, and day-to-day operations organized.

And Loa Fridfinnson, our Marketing Director, helps share Warrior's story, creates homeowner resources, manages our social media, and ensures we consistently communicate the great work our team is doing for homeowners, builders, developers, and First Nations communities across Metro Vancouver.

While our plumbers solve problems in the field, Ghazal and Loa work behind the scenes to keep the business running smoothly and ensure every customer has a positive experience from the first call to the final walkthrough.

It takes an entire team to deliver the service Warrior Plumbing is known for, and we're so proud of the fantastic team we have built!
