We are approaching the dog days of summer. If your not watering you probably have a lawn that’s looking a little stressed. We could all use some rain. Think happy thoughts and enjoy the warm summer weather.

So lawns are growing like wild right now. Be careful how low you cut. Next week in North Bay the weather man says he is bringing the heat with not a lot of rain. Grass can burn quickly if it’s cut tight and we get 4 or 5 days of hot dry weather. Go swimming instead. 🌵

This week I say it’s time to start cutting. By now the lawn clean up raking, top dressing, Overseesing, etc. Should be done. I recommend mulching for the first few cuts. Don’t want to be bagging expensive grass seed now do we.

Heh followers. These could be the start of summer dog days. Time to raise the blades an inch for the next 6 weeks. Cut weekly and it will look real pretty.
