We started this project six years ago as a garage addition, over the past couple of seasons, we’ve done a few sections per year due to the cost of cedar through Covid, and finally this spring we got to complete the job . This project consisted of a boat house, a guest house a medium sized garden shed and the cottage you see here .

Waterproofing this barrel sauna today for one of our good customers, he was sick of it always being wet inside from the rain and we took care of that by installing a fibreglass rack for the metal to sit on and create an air layer of 1/2” then a layer of synthetic underlayment, and capped with 26g textured matt black S-Lock panels.

He’s happy, we are happy, was a fun day…

Very proud of the work our crew did on this job, we stripped off all the old asphalt shingles installed a full titanium PSU 30 underlayment and then install installed 3/4” #1 perfection, blue label, hand split, BC red cedar shakes, with all black 26g metal trims to the entire cottage, two Bunkies, woodshed and the outdoor kitchen area. These buildings will now match the Bunkie and boathouse that were completed last year.

We got called in to fix a five-year-old cedar roof, it had leaked around the chimney since the day it was installed and after many attempts by others to fix it, the customer decided to just replace all the sections around it. As an add-on, we did the barrel roof in copper as well. This job was done in the late fall/winter and we took the customer out to do a site visit on his island today and everything worked as it should.
