15 years since this wood siding has been stained!
Our client was in desperate need of sealing up the wood siding on his house before it was too late. 15 years is a long time to go with out another coat but luckily for him, there was still a small window of time for us to help.
Our wash crew went out several days before we planned to stain to treat the siding with a proprietary blend of cleaning solution to properly and safely remove all of the organic growth that buildup over the years. This is applied at a low pressure and rinsed with a higher volume of water but also at low pressure insuring the safety of the home. Our surface was then clean and ready for stain.
Now, our standard practice would be to recommend two coats of stain for this wood. That ensures the surface is adequately sealed and the colour represents itself properly.
In this case, our client wanted one coat, not two. We were able to apply the stain in such a manor that it still looks uniform and solid. The house looks light years nicer since the stain was applied.
We achieved 2 things here…
First, we fulfilled our clients wishes of 1 coat rather than push 2 coats that he didn’t want.
Second, we did in fact seal the wood with one coat and it will suffice for a handful of years.
Our client is thrilled and so are we!
